Myers-Briggs
Type Indicator®:
Do you know what your
personality type is?
Many of you are aware
that the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
(MBTI) is an instrument
that provides insights into our preferred personality types. Our experience has
taught us that the more insight into our own personalities that we
have, the better we're able to effectively interact with others in our
organizations.
Particularly over the
past ten years, organizations have eagerly administered the MBTI® to
their employees, and provided some high-level training to explain
what personality type is all about. At best, participants
walked away from those sessions knowing what their own type
is. More than likely, the organization has never looked at the
results again, much less integrated the learning into their
operations.
At TeamsWork
Enterprises, we are qualified to administer the MBTI®,
and we use your validated results in ways beyond awareness of individual
personality type. Participants gain insights into the dynamics
of their team, work group, and organization. Understanding
preferences in data gathering, decision-making, and goal achievement
across the group creates an opportunity to tap into the strengths of
each individual. This is where the real advantages to
understanding personality type are found!
In addition to "traditional" (known as Step I) MBTI,
we also administer the Step II MBTI instrument -- an opportunity to
explore personality type even deeper across 40 different facets
related to the 8 original dimensions. This is particularly useful in understanding working
relationships between individuals, within teams / work groups, and
across organizations.
Also available for use with your organization is the
Organizational Character Index® (OCI), a tool developed
by William Bridges used to determine and explain the personality
type of organizations. Based on MBTI®, the assessment provides a unique opportunity to improve
team and organization performance, especially for those already familiar
with personality type theory.
Either in
combination with our workshops or as a stand-alone
event, we are available to administer the MBTI to
your organization or employees on an individual basis. We also provide ways to integrate the learning
into day-to-day business activities.
We'll be glad to discuss
the possibilities this tool has to offer your group.
